Computers

Computers

My first computer was a Toshiba satellite, it was kind of a dated computer but it was a great reliable computer, I loved it. But that was back in 5th grade where we only had windows Xp and Microsoft word 2003 was top of the line. The battery life on that laptop was roughly 2-3 hours if I was lucky. The processor was not all that fast either. But back then I thought it was really fast, I was able to open up a web page in under 20 seconds, which was amazing back then. I spent so many hours on that computer. It was so reliable, and I never had any major problems with it.
Now I have a Asus computer. It’s a pretty nice looking computer, smaller than my previous laptop. But it has been only two years and I am already having problems. On my Asus I have Windows Vista, and I can open up a web page even faster, 10 seconds. I have Microsoft word 2007 and all these other cool applications I never had before. But the problem is that, it is not as reliable as my old computer a few years ago. I’m already having problems after two years, which is kind of disappointing.
Over the years I have watched computers jump in technology. One month they would be talking about a processor that is supposedly to make your computer faster that your previous one, and now they are talking about making an EVEN faster processor that’s even smaller than before. The rate people are coming out with new tech is amazing. Another example is, I bought this Asus computer in June, the battery life is about 2-3 hours. In July my brother got a new laptop and its battery life is 5-7 hours! And his battery is smaller than mine. His laptop is much faster and really nice.
Pretty soon I hope I will be able to upgrade my computer to a even faster one that will be much more reliable.
